Passed Inspection....

Yep, passed MD state inspection today - it's pretty extensive since it's done for the life of the car, unless one changes ownership!!! Put on new tires all around and the road noise has dropped probably 60%. She sounds a lot better now. I had the shop check everything and the techs seemed to be quite impressed with the car. I have a few pics for your viewinf pleasure. Pic #3 shows clearly the **** that's missing from the driver's seat, outboard side. The one of the engine bay shows a missing clip where the windshield washer bottle attaches to the inside of the front fender. There's also a missing clip on the coolant overflow tank/fender interface. I had those installed today but the upper part of the two piece coolant reservoir still feels somewhat wobbly. Is it supposed to be like that? In another photo you can see my Z31 which is still for sale to anyone who would make me a good offer in the neighborhood of $3000.00. Another photo shows a screw driver and a Nissan box of parts - I was about to begin the mud flap install when I took these. Enjoy the pics.

It really feel great just cruising around, especially here where I have seen only one other Z32TT. I don't recall seeing any N/As. The car just drives very very well. Tomorrow I get my official MD plate and registration. While the shop had the car today, I asked about xtra keyfob: $250+$20 for programming - ouch!!!

BTW, how wide a tire can one go on the OEM rims?

They even have the OEM (with Infinity logo) for $40 off. Thanks.

that "$40 off" has been like that for years. get the aftermarket one. works great and is smaller than the OEM.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I like suede. Do you think the prev owner outlined the fuse box under the hood. I've never seen one like that.

Surprisingly, the suede actually looks good, and Nissan tried to place it where it wouldn't make contact with humans that much. This one still looks very good. The fuse box is not outlined. During my search for a TT, I recall seeing many late model ones (I believe MY94-96) with that style fuse box.

So, anyone know yet if the coolant bottle neck is supposed to be firm on its base or a little wobbly?

245 is what most people run, but some squeeze a 255 on there (people who run Mickey Thompson ET Streets are running 255's).

Get one. During my research I saw some very nice low mileage ones. In particular, a green 1995TT right here in Maryland. Immaculate. That was my second choice. There were two other excellent looking green ones, one in NY and the other was in CA I believe. Then there was a 1990 yellow one with cloth seats that had something like 20K on the ODO!!! All these were 5-spd, since I just filtered A/Ts. So, there are a few around, most are pricey but if you're patient, you'll find a good buy.
