Newbie ... with new Z32

Just want to say hi, I just bough a 1990 Z32TT with only 56K miles, looks immaculate, on its way to be delivered next week, hopeful that it will be as good as to seller claim ... this is not my first Z32 btw, I've owned an N/A back in the 90s, always want a TT but eventually went on to own corvette, Z33 and Porsche ... Anyhow, saw this one on ebay reminded me of the younger years bough it and it's a Twin turbo as a bonus .... looking for the delivery next week ... can't wait to get in the Z again!

Congrats! Any idea on how long since it was last driven? 56k miles spread out over 24 years is a little over 2k miles per year so it's possible to find some hiccups with the engine. The NA I bought a couple months ago had been garage kept for about 5-6 years and barely driven. Only having 112k on it I've been dealing with a lot of wiring issues and fuel system issues but I guess that's just part of the fun!
Looking forward to seeing more of that new TT!

thank you! I got it from the 2nd owner, he purchased it last year, replaced all 6 injectors and replaced the exhaust, according to him it runs perfect... hopeful he's truthful. I'm looking into upgrade intake and short shifter, any feedback on this? the only thing that is not working right now is the original bose stereo, only the center speaker works, I'm planning to replace with retractable NAV system, all new speakers and a bazooka .... will post some pics soon

Haha I was thinking the same thing! Henry is it really that red? Very clean car, pretty amazing you bought it without actually seeing it first. How does it run?

I love those red seats I'm not going to lie!
I'm impressed. If he replaced all of that then you should have a pretty decent ride. I'm a little jealous...

I would re-leather the center of the back rest and seats tan. Then tan leather for shifter and brake boots. Also tan leather where original tweed is. That would help tone it down some.

Overall very nice Z though.

Thanks guys , finally too the delivery today, washed and cleaned all the storm dust away, it looks better than expected, initially I kindda think it's too red also, however, it actually looks more like darker burgundy color.

will put in the replacement K&N filters, Short shifter (any quality one recommended?), real leather shift/brake boots and HID (again any recommended brand?)

drove around the block and couldn't stop amaze how this thing feels so light, compare to a corvette c6 LS3, talking about 450hp compare with 300hp ... it's just weird my 07 C6 felt much heavier ... I'm questioning if this thing is really 300hp

I still put on a big goofy grin when the boost kicks in. I put the Z1 short shifter in mine last year, pretty easy job and feels awesome. I haven't tried others to compare, but with no problems at all it's hard to think there could be one that's much better (if at all).

Just bought the Z1 shortshifter last night ....
I'm thinking the the Z1 one piece driveshaft (the oringinal still solid.. so should I?), but saw other brand on ebay sold for $100 less ($345)with no core charge and it's aluminum. what are your thoughts?

Unless taking big risks and/or re-doing things thrills you beyond imagination, do not buy your Z parts off Ebay unless it's actually the real deal from a reputable brand. Parts can be pretty pricey so it's definitely tempting, but you'll thank yourself later.
