I'm a newbie and need some help!
Hey guys! I've had my Z for almost 3yrs now she's a 93 white tt just broke the 100k mark but she still runs strong. I never came to the forum because I would feel sad I wouldn't have the money to do things I would read about. But finally I'm able to put money aside for her I would be so greatful if you guys could help me on what brands and where to buy some of the things I would like.
My turbos are getting old so I would love to replace them with something that would be very reliable and could get me up into the 400hp ball park.
Short throw shifter
Strong clutch for the power
A Quiet Exhaust
Good tires for stock wheels
Do I need new intercoolers as well?
And If you guys see anything I'm missing or any type of recomendations including where some good mechanics are to get the work done I would be so greatful. Thanks Guys!

do you want the turbos to get you to 400 or new stock turbos with other performance upgrades?
1. Stillen Short Throw Shifter
2. RPS or ACT Clutch
3. Good Luck...try specialty z's resonators(specialtyz.com)
4. Stock tires are pretty good...go to tirerack.com or tires.com and look at the test results for others
5. Wouldnt hurt if you get bigger turbos
read through this forum. you will find a lot of helpful info about what to buy and where and how other people like it

You don't need bigger turbos. If you upgrade your turbos, then you need to upgrade lots of other stuff you didn't mention wanting to upgrade; uch as intercoolers, fuel injectors, etc. You have a very tuner friendly car. Chip intake and catback exhaust gets you to 403 HP.
Bad b300z----How could you refer him to Stillen??? You know how we feel about them. That's it,... no more advice for you. J/K
Go to www.courtesyparts.com. They sell the Top Speed short throw shifter for the Z32. It's basically the same as what Stillen sells, but for much less $.
I have a ACT clutch. Some may say the RPS is better, but if it's installed properly, then you won't have a problem with either one. 400 HP is a fair amount of power, but not enough to be demanding on a clutch as long as you don't slip the clutch too much. 400 is easily achievable with the stock turbos. Bigger turbos will put you up into to the 500-600HP range, depending on how big you go.

I think I said alot more about this in another thread, but here goes again.
For the chip and the intake, check out www.z1motorsports.com.
For the catback exhaust, check out www.specialtyz.com.
You have a TT, so your car will never be all that loud; even if you removed the mufflers all together. The turbos absorb a lot of the exhaust noise. I have the Stillen catback system (I bought it a long time ago when I still liked them). It is very subtle. If you have holes in your exiting mufflers, the aftermarket system may actually wind up being quieter than what you have. Enjoy.

OMG Holy Crap!!! Why DIDNT someone stop me? haha and you used to like them?? what was that about
actually i said that cuz its the only one ive ever known of(until now) for the 300, plus its in my car.
ive got an RPS, that needs to be rebuilt due to some syncros, and i need to move the clutch pedal. ive got about 2 inches of freeplay
the ashspec ecu is better, and cheaper, most intakes are the same, no K&N, and the JWT Pop Charger is the biggest in size that i have seen

B&B exhaust is relatively quiet and sounds freakin awesome (put's lambo's and ferrari's to shame IMO) but it is expensive. You could get your stock turbos rebuilt or go with a jwt upgrade....or if you have the cash...HKS!

researching
I've been looking around online. I have another question for you guys? HKS is probably out of my league because the prices I've seen was like 5 grand, I found the JWT sport 500's for under 2 grand and the Sport 530 ball bearing for 3 grand? Is ball bearing that much better?
