It will take a lot of work if you decide to go that route. But if you want to heavily modify the motor before you want to put it in or if you want a TT 2+2 in the states, it may not be a bad idea. Some people say that you can save money by doing the TT swap, some say that it's a waste of money and you could either break even or spend even more than if you were to just sell your NA and get a TT. Neither side is correct. It all depends on the situation. If you want to have a TT with upgraded turbos and all the other goodies, you'll have to pull the motor anyway and buying a TT and then pulling the motor and doing all of it will be a lot of work as well. Just consider what you want to do with the car.
