High beams/low beams on together

Hello,

I have a question.

Maybe I'm being stupid, but it seems wrong to me whenever a car is set up so that the low beams turn off when you activate the high beams.

If you want the high beams, why would you want the low beams off?

I've noticed that this is how the 300zx works. Especially in the 300zx, the high and low beams don't point the same way, and i would like to keep the projector headlights on when i activate the high beams. I would like to alter the car so that it keeps both on if I could. Does anybody know how I would start?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'd really appreciate any insight

You'd have to alter the circuitry of the lights I assume. If you don't really have any knowledge of circuits and electronics I don't suggest attempting this. Maybe get someone you trust who is knowledgeable in such things to work on it with you? Or just to do it completely for you.

im also having this problem, But i think mine is relating to the relays. The light are all mixed up and on bumps the lights change ex. high beams on one side and low on the other. sometimes both high and low turn on one side.

I thought about doing this but my HID's are bright enough already

I did the mod cause of the couple seconds of dark while my HIDs warm back up if they have been off a while during high beam use. The mod works like a charm!! No issues after 3 months of use.
