Hey new to the forum and need a little help

Hello everyone I have 2 z32s in amazing shape and I've owned them for a good 12 years or so. I will post up a separate thread containing pictures later.
My 95 NA has been giving me some issues over the past few years where it dies very quickly in the cold weather kind of like overnight. The car is bone stock and has an aftermarket alarm system that has now been disabled/disconnected for a couple of years. I've brought it to many mechanics and nobody seems to find the answer. My second problem is that only when the car is cold it will rev to 2k on startup and jump back down to almost stall and then shoots back to find a medium then idles perfect. Sometimes but rarely when very cold out it'll actually stall but it isn't often. Driving is perfect and warm starts are perfect, I'm lost and looking for any type of experienced help or opinions. Thank you

How meticulously clean is the engine and its surrounding components? Has it ever been rebuilt? What have you had replaced over the years and what tune ups have you done? Sorry I can't help much more than ask questions right back at you

i guess i can always try and clean the throttle body for that startup issue. but that dying battery problem is a real pain in the ***. ive been through a few batteries and an alternator and the problem still exists.

Check to see if the alternator is charging and check the fusible links, had the same cold startup problem you have and it turned out to be the o2 sensors.

O2 sensors don't do anything on startup I thought? Correct me if I'm wrong

I believe this may be of use to you: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nis...iagnostic.html

Correct me if this is for turbo-only models!

I didn't think so either. It's happened on two different cars so far though.
