Help Me decided on a clutch...

I plan to run stock turbo's I've read they are good for close to 500whp (with injector upgrades) I guessing they are good for atleast the mid 400's.

With that in mind I want to ask people with experience with clutches on my car. I have a 96' TT.

I dont want a 6 Puck clutch I want something more streetable. Stiffer engagemant than stock is fine. The clutch will need to hold around 5-600lbs of Torque (Not sure on how much torque you can make when you get close to maxing out the stock turbo's, just guessing)

With that in mind what have you had experience with/know work well?

Thanks for youe replies!

Tim

LMMFAO @ stock turbos up to 500rwhp. DREAMING AND A HALF. Most people fail to reach 400rwhp without nitrous. Only a handful of people have done 400rwhp... not a single one has gotten anywhere close to 500rwhp.

Get a JWT Street Clutch, call it a day. Holds down my HKS GT2530's just fine and feels like stock while catching only a little bit faster.

I was just repeating what I've read. Hence why I assumed they'd be good for less than 500whp.

Thanks for your opinion Zlover glad you chimmed in. Would your reccomend the JWT Flywheel aswell? I was planning on the Fidanza Flywheel (11.5lbs, JWT is 13 still lighter than stock...) I only ask because conceptzperformance sells a package kit of JWT Clutch and Flywheel.

Had any experience or heard anything about the Fidanza Flywheel?

JWT Flywheel is made by Fidanza. I have one on my car. 1.5 lbs makes little difference. I know that JWT contracted Fidanza to make them, so the quality is the same.

I read that the inserts for the flywheel are interchangable between the fidanza and the JWT and now I know why! Thanks!

The package on CZP seems to be exactly what I need so thanks for the advice! Now I just have to wait for tax return season!
