The Z's are built more more for carving corners rather than drifting around them. Because of the suspended rear suspension, drifting with a Z32 is generally not a good idea.
Why do you think so, BTW? just curious.

Look at Team Orange... S13, 180sx cut back style (back window is cut out, and the back is replaced with sheet metal, saves 300 lb's) and S15 Aero R. The only Z i've ever seen drifted is Penlingtons. Hell i've seen him drift a Cupocina though, HAHAHA. (its a small POS economy car.) I wouldnt suggest attempting to drift in a TT unless you know the car in and out, know when the turbos kick in, because ive seen TT's being drifted perfectly, then the turbos kick in and they lose it. If you are really wanting to get into drifting... 240sx is the best way to go. Peace foo's

there's cars that are more suitable and popular to use as drift cars, but one guy (can't remember his freakin name, but I think I posted about him before) took an unconventional car and won.

Well there is always the outlyer who can do amazing things, just because he/she knows the object very well. But I still think it would be tough to drift a Z... VERY tough. Peace foo's

It is tough, b/c it's heavy, the turbo's aren't a big deal (most other drift cars are turbo as well). But when you take a big car like that and make it drift, that is worthy of a win. It's quite a spectacle to see a Z32 going sideways.

seriously though, if boost was such an unwanted aspect on a drift car, then why use an sr20 with an UPGRADED turbo? why are most drift cars turbo? It's more the weight of the car thats the challenging thing to work with.

yea, but the Z has pretty good weight distribution I believe and one could do things to make it have close to optimal distribution.

im in cali right now, but soon as i get back home to md ima try to get some video footage. also, yeah z's are great at hugging around curves, but can drift roun them just as good so long as you got a good feel for the car and know when to punch it and when not to.

Emo i got it on ebay i think about a week ago...it is great man ...great for starting drifters... Man i have a cool story.. i am driving down the interstate tonight, going to my g/f's when this jackass in a camaro starts road raging me... so i get off the main road and he follows... i got off on this curvy road and he followed.....well for a turn or two... i stepped on it, just hitting corners as fast as i could ... i lost him after like 50 yards, i did manage to pull off a couple of nice drifts... i just tightened my e-brake today a bit, but i mostly used shift lock, and power drift coming out of the curves.... mad fun man mad fun... it's a lot easier to drift an n/a because you get constant power... Z is so much fun

sounds like a fun time for your first few drives. But you did this on a wet road?! If they were indeed wet or even worse, icy, you're not a wise person.
