My '81 was a slick top and the biggest reason I got rid of it was the fact that it didn't have t-tops... I probably would have continued to sink money into that turd otherwise (it had issues). I like the slicktops too, I agree that at least from an appearnce stand point they look smoother. It's all good ya know I'm just funnin' witchya.
The leaky part is a pain for sure. When I had my 280 in Florida I learned all about that. They would leak, water would get inside, then it would start to stink from the mildew... nasty. It rained every afternoon there in the summer months and there was nothing I could do about it. I never bothered with the clip in shades though... I just had the glass tinted so the sun wouldn't bake me like a tater. If I was builing a track or AutoCross car, it would be a slicky.
