Yeah, I have the 150 gig raptor... the 300gig really won't cut it though, i'm thinking I'll need at least 800 gigs... I have my 150 gig full, and my laptop (150 gig) full as well. One thing you can do to free up A LOT of space is turn off the automatic windows restore points that get created... I freed up about 50 gigs on the laptop just from doing that (which was immediately filled with some multi media data)

I didn't even have a serial port on my laptop, so I just picked up one of these to use with my conzult.

I was going to make one, but didn't feel like going around town to buy the parts or waiting for some i can't find around town to come in the mail via ordering them online.

figured i would toss up another update here, ive downloaded DR300zx from sourceforge.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/dr300zx/

its FANTASTIC - definately one of the best 300zx consult software packages available and completely FREE. Since i code software im going to be helping with the project as time permits. check out the screenshots http://sourceforge.net/projects/dr300zx/

It is the least buggy out of all the software ive downloaded. I'm running this on windows 7.

nope, i just selected my com port and off i went. I was amazed that after all the searching i ran across this on a site translated from japan. I guess thats where the project started. It appears to work with the fairlady and skylines also.

I was impressed with the software compared to everything except ecutalk and conzult.

I recently got a cheap Ebay OBD scanner, I didn't even get what I paid for! The CD it came with was cracked, and the scanner barely fits on the connector right. It didn't come with drivers either (I was able to see what was on the CD actually and all it was was the free version of ConZult). Anyway, finally found the right drivers and tried out the Dr300ZX which seems pretty nifty. The problem now is that the car doesn't seem to be communicating with the scanner. Any ideas? I know old thread, but it seemed related enough to revive.
