Budget resto project

Hey guys im new to the site and dont know alot aboutmy new project i gotta 94 n/a 5 speed i pretty good shape with a blown motor. The car has been sitting for 8 years!!! It was under a cover but kept outside. t-tops dont leak. interior is good. but the motor was over heated badly and the tranny needed a rebuild. i talked guy to $600. I ordered a used engine and tranny combo from a pretty good company Its a jdm engine (was shipped from canada) with a claimed 42,000 mi. i also purchased and have already installed a set of stillen headeres on the new engine. i noticed the headers came with a nice egr plug. That of course got me thinkin should i delete it? Is there a delete kit available? I am a technician so i will be doing all the work at my shop. I understand that N/A's aren't beastly but i was wondering what it would take to run in the high 13's in the quarter i plan to do a cat back of some sort and intake as well as a tune. Do you think i can get there for under $5000. I have 2550 in the car all together with new engine tranny and headers. Labor is also free. im sure i could figure it out on my own but i like hereing different opinions. all opions apprecirated.

Wise choice on the replacement motor.. Re-Hauling is expensive and TIME consuming..

Some of the Things to consider..

New Engine wireharness.. If it's been sitting for 8 Years.. it might not be bad.. but usually by now the plugs are broken.. $450

Lightened Flywheel.. Bout $400

Get the Injectors Cleaned.. Are they new or Old Style?.. If they Plug into your '94 Harness, they are new style..

Check the Cam Timing.. Mine was off by 6 Crank deg on the Left Bank, and 12 Crank Deg on the Right Bank..

Do a minor port Match.. and bore the Intake Plenum for the Oversized T-Bodies.. Bout $400.. but if you bore now, you can swap at anytime..

Do the Water Delete for the T-Bodies.. makes pulling the Plenum a Breeze..

I'd leave the EGR.. your Choice.. if the car EVER goes to a smog state, you'll need it.. No HP Benefit to remove..

Could toss in some Mild Cams now.. the thing is out and you can time them..

Get Sockett installed in the ECU so you can toss in a Prom.. I like the ZIF sockett, just a little More.. a LOT simplier to install the Prom..

the rest is up to you..
