That's it?!? Really?!? All this time I thought it was more complicated than that. I wonder why everyone doesn't boost the hell out out of their cars with higher C/R's.

In my readings and calculations, this is all based around compression pressures. Not so much compression ratio. Compression pressures are determind by your dynamic compression ratio which is determined by your static c/r and the timing of when your intake valves close on the compression stroke. This is a big variable from engine to engine. I did some calcs, and determined that boosting the n/a engine to 5-6 psi creates the equivalent compression pressure as a TT boosting to somewhere around 15 psi, or something like that. Because of other dynamics, you don't get the same performance out of the n/a as you do the tt, even when running the same compression pressures.

z32 is quicker stock, almost a half second quicker..Whoever said you can boost a high compression engine, I have lost mucho respect for you..Tuning dosen't mean **** when you're engine is knocking..If you got 10:5, running 98 octance, I think the safest amount of boost before detonation is 6 psi....There's no Tuning about it, if you go over, the engine can't handle it..Sure you could dump money into a motor that will last, but it will still be damaging it..Forged pistons aren't invincible..Sure they'll take the abuse- for a while..but if you want a car you can drive to the supermarket, you need low compression. I think if one had a 350z, and a 300z and had a budget cap on both of them...300 would turn more heads, be quicker, and probaly handle better. I love the new Z's though, but so out of my price range. Tear.

i dont have any picz but all i can say is that i have a realy big turbo and it barly fitz stock the turno pulls out about 350 with stock block but if you do what i did itz can push about 600 all together but 550 to the wheels i dont want toblow it .

I'll quote myself from earlier....'Come again.' You have to give more details than that. You bought your car in April of this year, right? If i remember correctly, it was a graduation gift. Then you said you have 875HP, now you're saying 600HP (I'm assuming); which you say leads to 550RWHP.
I'll be the 1st to call BS on this one. That's not even a 10% loss through the drivetrain....no car is that efficient. Start posting some pics or a dyno sheet because none of your stories hold water.

I'll 2nd that. I call BS until I'm proven otherwise. Also, as far as handling, I don't know about Z33's but Z32's have a tendency to udersteer a little in stock form. This can be fixed to a point by leaving the front shocks in touring mode and the back in sport mode, since the problem is that the front is heavier. Also, you say you have a "really big turbo," what kind? What was involved in a single turbo setup. Joel Grannas did a single turbo conversion with a "really big turbo" and got 540whp at 30psi, so you're SECOND comment is possible. do you have 2 Z's? one with 550whp and another with 875whp?

Unfortunately, just stating you have "a big turbo" is not going to make your horse power claims more believable.
Do you have any pictures of your set up?
Are your claims based on dyno runs? and if so, can you post the report?
Can you give us a greater details on your cars set up? Engine wise of course and what have you done trani wise, suspension wise to support that kind of power and transfer it to the road?
If you can't back your claim, you are best to keep it to yourself.

btw guys I have a 4 billion hp car, but I don't have any pics, documentation, or explanations of what I did to it. I did add a custom 40 ft trim Turbo that I made of coffee cans though.
That's just an extreme example of how it can be hard to believe things if there's no backing it up. Back it up and shove it in our faces.

I guess you guys took my lead and ran with it.
He must be using the turbo that CC discussed in another thread. That one that sits in the spare tire well.
Rizz-
Your car may be faster than mine with those new plugs, but watch out for when I get those zdriver.com stickers. It'll be hella fast. Who cares about twin turbos,...I'll have twin stickers. There's not a dyno on the planet that can measure the power. I hear the Navy secretly uses them to power their entire fleet of ships and planes. Entropy can back me up on this.

I would think that Nissan would not produce a new line without the foresight to surpass the previous generation. That said I am strongly biased in favor of the Z32. In fact I have driven every day either a datsun 280Z or a 300ZX TT for the last 25 + years. I don't care for the new Z's body style without serious body kit changes so consequently I have anInfiniti G35 coupe. as a daily driver. My 93 300ZX TT is neary at stage V, after a long drivetrain overhaul. Have begun suspension and brake upgrades before I start braking in the new clutch and relearning the car. I remember my first long drive and the sound of the engine was like that of a turbine engine. What A beautiful sound!
