think i decided on wheels.

i have looked at tons of aftermarket wheels, and none have really done it for me. this weekend in canada, i had my car next to a 350z with the '06 wheels, and i got to thinking they would look really good on my car. just what i have been looking for, clean simple 5 spokes that arent too thin, and in a finish i like. and if i can find a set of takeoffs, i could save a lot of money. time to start calling tire shops and dealerships. what do you guys think?

time for craigslist, i see z33 wheels ALL the time on craigslist, plus anything is a step up from the wheels you have now, even black steelies with "type-r" logos on the tyres. (no joke i saw them with my own eyes)

There were some locally on craigslist for $500 obo
one wheel had some curb damage.... but you could have probably picked up the set for 400.

yeah, i have been all over CL and ebay. i see plenty of z33 wheels, but not as many of the '06+. i am sure they will become more readily available as more of the cars are sold. i am hoping for something local, with good tread and no damage. the wheels i have now were all curbed bad by the previous owner.

$800 huh?

I have seen them locally for $400 with some curb marks on one wheel but those weren't good enough for old Entropy.

Dealers usually sell them cheap. $100 a wheel and they are like new

I've also been having similar thoughts on wheels -- that is to say putting a set of 2006 350Z rims on our generation of 300ZX. Since I'm not in the market for them this second (I've got other mods that need to be done first), I'll forward this on to you:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/pts/399049513.html

Of course, there are no pictures, and you're dealing with Craigslist, so it is what it is, as they say.

There's also this option:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts/398518079.html ... people parting out their Zs

EDIT: I forgot about shipping, since these Craigslist postings are from the Bay Area.

i'm not ready right this second to buy them. i might wait 'till my T1-Rs are toast. for as much as they cost, i want to get all i can out of them. though i may be getting a raise soon. i could save the 17s with the T1-Rs for auto-x .
