I now just took the time to look at my wheels closely and see that each rim has either an L or an R on them. I know that means left or right and on my NA it can be either front or back as long as they are on the correct side. Now upon closer inspection I find a R wheel on my L front. What makes these wheels side specific, brake cooling? I guess I'm off to my tire man this weekend to have two tires remounted cd

 

Brake Cooling is the reason. My wheels were on the wrong sides of the car when I bought it. I feel your pain on the remount that you shouldn't have to be doing. When I bought new tires, I had to take them back twice b/c the Einstein at the shop didn't know his Left from Right....

 

mine are messed up too. whats up with that? oh well, im getting new rims soon...

In the US, that was what I had assumed, but I suppose it would be the opposite in Japan.

left=drivers side

that sounds like if it isn't true it should be.
