left, or right?

I just rebuilt my 71 powerplant utilizing a 73 block (9mm rods). I bored it (.040) and milled (.010, shimmed) my E31. Okay, now, I have the ZX distributor in place and, with the proper firing order as well. Now, since the 73s were in reverse order (so I'm told) do I still go by the timing-degree marks mounted on the left side (driver's side) of the timing cover, or do I mount my 71 degree marks on the opposite side?

I believe the timing marks on the harmonic balance to be equal so, I opted to for my 71 two row.

I appreciate any and all your thoughts---Jerry
