Preping spoiler for paint?

Well i finnaly found a new spoiler for my 300...i found a kaminari style spoiler at a junkyard for a $100. It's already the same color as my car but its got chips and scratches all over it so im just gonna get the whole thing repainted. What should i do to prep it for a fresh coat of paint? or should i just leave it to the guys painting it to do it? And whats the best way to attach the new spoiler once its painted? Also does anyone have a stock driver side rear brake light laying around or know someone whos got one? Mine cracked somehow so id like to replace it.
Thanks, Jamie

Just sand it man...SAND AWAY! it will save money cuz you that is less work the painter has to do...which equals less money you have to spend on labor
