Well, I can't blame anyone for thinking that I'm window shopping. The reason I want to do a seat conversion is because of two reasons. One: It's likely that the TTZ I buy would have a cloth interior, probably beat up beyond belief. Besides, I don't like cloth. Also, being an interior fanatic, I don't like my leather seats to be 'loose' with wrinkles in them. I was actually planning on spending more on the interior than the performance...

more money into interior than performance???? im both shocked and appauled.. why a twin turbo then. sounds like your more into looks.. you could save money ALOT OF MONEY and get an N/A of either car and make it better looking...

Even stock, the 300ZX TT will beat a large percentage of what's on the road, so I don't mind. Interior and looks mean a lot to me, it's what my entire industry is based on.

yea, youll be happier and wont necessarly have to spend money for performance mods for a TT, as compared to an n/a. so you could spend more money and time on the interior. which I think would be sweet. the interior has become an overly important buying factor for me lately. my moms mini interior is hawt

Well, that's one of the reasons I may want an automatic, so I can do a remote starter. It gets real cold in the winter, and remote starts are such a useful gadget to have so you're nice and toasty when you get in. As far as interior goes, I could never gut it to make it lighter. Before I did that, I'd just modify the performance to pull the weight. It'll actually be heavier by the time I'm done with it, because it'll have a subwoofer box in the rear hatch. The interior has to be ergonomic, or it's not worth it. That's why I don't really enjoy it when I find a well priced Z, but it's got a roll cage in it and one recaro seat and such.

That's true. But, I can't imagine like, letting my girlfriend use my car, she leaves it in first and the thing takes off and hits a nearby dumpster. I'd hate to lose my car that way. And, being in the industry, I've seen it happen plenty of times. But, yeah, probably gonna go with shifter.

I don't think the car would be happy about it, because she'd probably stall it quite a few times, considering she would not know how to drive stick.

. . .

It does sound like a bad idea.
But, what's good is hopefully she'd be happy for me to get the car and want to be part of it.

But then I'd say.

NO! BITCH! MINE!

And then not get sex for another three months.

That's a lame reason to get an automatic....What you're giving up in performance far outweighs what you're gaining in comfort.....I don't care how cold it gets...
