I don't know what the Predator looks like, but I saw this at boost solutions. Not bad IMHO.

The stock hood is lighter than a carbon fiber hood...by the way.

Nice artwork. LOL
Thanks, I think.

You guys should check with the manufacturer as to the weight of the hood. Some of those hoods use a fiberglass core. Then are covered with a thin layer of carbon fiber. This results in a much heavier hood than the stock aluminum one. Isn't that why you'd buy a cf hood for anyway? the weight savings?

www.visracing.com has several styles of cf hoods. Stillen buys from this company to sell as their own.

The thing is even a full carbon fiber hood isn't much lighter than the stock hood. Look at Wagz's hood.

Exactly.
Wagz made his hood outta another stock hood. It looks great too!

Rizz, I must say, I like your hood. B/c it's stock. I like mine too. The stock hood looks great on the Z, why change it? It fits the lines so well. Rizz is one of the few that I've seen pull off a hood that's not stock or a stock look.

a Complete carbon fiber hood is barely lighter than a stock aluminum hood. Maybe a few ounces. Most cf hoods, however have a fiberglass core...and end up being heavier.

Possibly, depending on whether it's pure carbon fiber or not. That's why I said to ask the manufacturer about its weight.

You're not purchasing the hood because it's lighter. You're purchasing it because of how it looks. Some of these hoods push the envelope of rice, or not-rice. I like stock hood and will keep the hood stock. Just in case you wanted MHO. oh, and BTW, dents add character.

i agree.... i love the stock hood, but i had this vision . ok i get an oem looking CF hood, and then i repaint my car midnight blue. then i cover the whole car ( including cf hood) with a clear coat with some red metalic in it.... i think i'll play with it on the photoshop first.... but it would give it this red glare in the sun, and lights at night....i'll do a little bit more research
