It would probably be faily difficult to do as you would have to change how the mechanism operates as the 350Z door handle is mounted vertically on the rear edge of the door.

 

I recently shaved the handles off of my 93 2+2 and I installed door popper solenoids. I am adding this in to this post because i wanted to let you know I've spent alot of time workin on my doors so I know the layout. You could probably pull it off. You really need to do some measuring first. If your wanting to put the door handle up on the end frame of your door or just replace the old handle with a new one then you should definately be ok. Be reminded that your doors locking sysytem is tied into the ignition power so when you start changing handles your talking re-wiring the key-lock switch and so on. Good luck

Wow, thats a custom job for sure and I didnt actually do all of my door work as far as the body shaving and painting. Labor is about 45-60 $ an hour for body work. Look for a custom shop that is willing to take this project on and get them to give you an estimate. Just guessing it may take a full 15 hours of work just for the door handles. Mostly fitting time and manufacturing new mechanisms or modifying the ones your putting in. If you really want o do this then its gonna cost, BUT I think it would be very unique and may be worth it. Some peeps will tell you it wont, hey but its your car don't let people obstruct your goals. I have alot of haters who always say "don't twin turbo your 2+2" they say its too expensive" or "you should just buy a 300zxTT" The thing is is that I want a 2+2 TT and I've got my mind made up. It has taken a while to get where its at, but I kept dedicating myself towards a goal. I'm not done yet(not sure if it will ever be done) as I'm always getting ideas. I am not wealthy by any means either or else I'd be driving a MODENA heheehe or a F1 McLaren for sure..... Don't ask if the cars for sell cause as much as I've done I don't think I could sell her. LoL Dude your car is a Z and its reputation speaks for itself Turbo or Non-turbo We own a breed of cars that was quality built. If you've ever seen a Honda taken apart compared to a Nissan or Z for that matter you would definately see the difference in quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
