Anyone have any experience with Jensen DVD players, or know something about them that would be useful to know?

I'm looking at getting the Jensen VM9410 (40W x 4 CD/DVD/MP3 Deck w/Fully Motorized 7" Widescreen LCD).....seen here:

I don't know jack crap about mobile video, or the different formats of DVD...all I want is something to play DVDs, and some homemade DVDs w/ WMA files. Thanks guys.

That's pretty sweet. I've been "window shopping" for various DVD head units. I want to put one in my Bimmer. But I want one w/ tv tuner & the option to add other screens.

 

dont waste your money. you drive a Z. that should be all the in car entertainment you need.

 

i wouldn't buy a Jensen brand that's for sure.
second, i wouldn't buy anything from a Huge electronics chain either, especially when a local specialty shop can probably get you something better for far less than those electronic stores. I only go to those big stores if i absolutely have to. I'd rather give my money to local business than some huge faceless chain store where the average age of the employees is less than 21 and their knowledge of product is less than their knowledge of the current adult swim rotation.

The Short Story:

Got iPod for xmas a year ago.
iPod Broke 3 months ago.
Had 2 year replacement plan w/ Best Buy.
Recieved $320 store credit in return.
The end.

...may as well use it.

Honestly, I really don't care to get another ipod, I'm just happy w/ iTunes at home and XM in the car. I figure I could use the store credit, and another $200 and get a DVD player...cheapest way to obtain one and I've always kinda wanted one. So my question is...if a replacement iPod is outta the question, and a Jensen DVD player isn't a good idea...what would YOU get? (I wanna know everyones opinion )\ I've looked around their site, and haven't seen a whole lot that looks interesting, except for whatever can go in the car. Thanks guys

Have you tried trading the credit for cash to someone?

If you've got someone that wants a movie or something like that just tell them you'll buy it at best buy with your credit and they can give you the cash.
