I just got my 84 Z running again after about a year and a half of it sitting and when i start it up it has this high pitch whine. I think it might be the turbo or maybe the intake but i have no clue. I dont know wether to buy a new turbo or not.

Maybe you could post a video, sound clip, or describe WHERE the sound is coming from?

Thats what my one friend said. he used to have a Z but he never had that problem. Just wanted to get a second opinion. Im going to take it to the shop near my house and have them check everything out on it to see whats wrong.
