i may end up getting an 88 300zx turbo instead of the 87 i have pictured due to the guy not getting back to me with the last few emails. so ive read for upgrading from the T25 to the T3 i will need the T3 turbo assembly with wastegate actuator, exhaust elbow, turbo to throttle pipe, inlet pipe and water and oil lines, i have also read the same thing but it did not say anything about the exhaust elbow. so i am curious if i do end up getting an 88 with the T25 is there a difference in the exhaust elbow between the T25 and T3 or are they the same? i have searched and found nothing. thanks in advance for the help.

yea i use google all the time for just about all of my searches. i have zbum and redz31 saved in my favorites. had a haynes since i bought the car and it doesnt say anything about any differences in the exhaust elbows. that why i was asking here. the one in redz31 is where i read about the exhaust elbow being needed and the one where i read and it didnt say anything about the elbow was on z31.com. so i figured that there had to be someone on here that has swapped from the T25 to the T3 and new if there is any difference in the elbows.

 

i dont thik there is any diff all of them were the same form 84 to 89

I guess I'am just confused.. cause' if it is different you wouldnt swap the elbow from the T2 to the T3. unless the pipe diameter is different, but then they wouldnt be the same would they??? The only reason you would roll the elbow over is if they were the same, damn, I dont even rember what we were talking about. Sometimes I feel like a child who wanders in the woods...

 

usually, the exhaust elbow will be sold with the turbo.

But now that I think about it, I'm not really sure. I don't have any good pictures of the rear of the T25 vs the T3 for some reason. And I am now thinking that we were able to swap the elbow from one to the other. But it's been a few years, and my memory on the subject is fuzzy.
