Hi, I'm new to the Z and i was told this was a great place for information. I just recently aquired an 87 300ZX NA. First course of action is to replace the motor with the VG30ET and the 88-89 turbo tranny. Anybody able to tell me if i will need anything special other than the donor motor and tranny or will everything bolt right up and go? Also my brother owns a 1LE ls1 camaro that is currently running in the 13's here. Should i be able to pull out 300-350 horses from this motor and get into the 13's? i gotta beat him.

lol. i've been searching through these forums for a couple weeks now. I just now signed up because the car is finally in my garage. Even with all the searching i was never able to find much information about swapping the ET into an N/A car. maybe i'm looking for the wrong keywords or am too impatient. I did not know i needed the exhaust though so thanks hoov100zx. I might just do without until i can afford a turbo back from CM. that and a team green will be my first mods (other than the swap of course) so would i be able to hit say 300-350hp (or high 12's low 13's those two should correlate if i'm wrong please let me know) on stack bottom end safely and reliably or should i look into building up the bottom end also?
