manual transmission

on a manual transmission engine for a 85 where is the tansmission fluid go i cant find the hole for it if you could tell me as much detail to werere it is it would be great

Jack it up in front. Crawl under. Locate transmission. You will see a drain hole and a chck/fill hole.

i found the drain hole were is the fill hole and how would you fill it if im under the car could some give me some more detail thanks

There is a fill hole a few inches above the drain hole. I'd suggest buying a hand pump to refill. I've tried the funnel and long tube way and it doesn't work well.

if you get the kind that comes in a bottle with a pointed nozzle, then you can force the long tube onto it and squeeze the oil into the tube and down into the tranny. they also make these fillers that are a tube with a fitting on the end that you screw onto the bottle you are filling. the tube is only about 16" long though, I replaced that tube with a longer one and filled it from the top of the engine. That seemed to work pretty well. the fitting fit's the bottle tight enough that you can squeeze the bottle, otherwise it would take all day for it to fill the tranny.
