WHOA! What did I miss this last few days while in SF?! I'll race you zilla. I have a Z32TT. Oh, and you obviously don't know anything about cars given the SOHC remark. The Z31 is SOHC, meaning a single cam over each head. A V configuration motor has 2 heads. I'll race you anytime, come to SD.

Okay, I'm not wasting my time here.... I read the first page of this thread, and I gotta say this is pretty funny. This kid-O reminds me of that guy who tried posing as a 350 owner. Anywho, correct me if I'm wrong, but an intercooler's job is to cool the air charge into the manifold,heads, cylinders, and the pressure drop "over the map" is just a side-effect of the welds/piping in conjunjction with the intercooler. the Z31 & Z32 blocks are quite different, the blocks themselves have a great difference in water & oil jacket ports, and as far as I know all the VG30DE's, and TT's have (OCASIONALLY, as a rarity) problems with the bottom end. I haven't heard of any of these issues in the VG30E, or VG30ET. But like I said... I didn't read all 5 pages of this thread, I'm just voicing my opinion.
And BTW, yes... I HAVE come back to the Z. I started tinkering with my Z, and a couple of buddies of mine helped me replace a portion of what we believed to be the damaged wiring in the harness, and I must say, I'm no longer experiencing the electrical difficulties I was, I got the new clutch put in, and ditched the sending unit in favor of spending more money at the pump (lol). all I have to worry about at this point is replacing the front cap. But yes, I AM BACK ... 'till I leave for basic anyways.
