how do you disable, unhook the factory alarm on a 86 turbo z31

how do you disable, unhook the factory alarm on a 86 turbo z31 ... no I'm not a car thief, it's my car and the stupid alarm is draining my battery it's always on or blinking or something it needs to go

the stoopit little lite on the dash does not take much juice--not even enough to register. have you checked everything else????? relays, check wires around your A?C compressor--anything not right??--the security should not be draining your battery.......
if you take it out, i could use it on one of my 2 turbos.-----

try your brake lite switch--thewre is a disc that can slip out of place--keeps the brake lites on when you are nowhere the car--been there--fixed that--and the headlite mechanism--that has drained my battery, also--keep your security.



i do not know how to remove it--but i am serious--if you do remove it, i could use it--pm me with details, should it be a goner, ok????

It's blinking because the alarm thinks a door, hood, or trunk is open.

could the security lite also blink if part of the system has been removed???
it does this in both of my turbos, 1986 and 1984AE50

It shouldn't. But I guess that depends on what part you remove. Can't say I've ever seen an occurance of that.

I just removed the 10amp fuse to the alarm ... problem solved.
