Hey guys,

New to the Z forum and new to the Z31 as well. Just bought a '87 2+2 and it needs some work. The car is running fine (for the most part), with some starting issues here and there but my current concern is the hot air blowing thru my air vents. I knew since day 1 that the climate control does not work and with all the settings presumably off, i get very warm/hot air thru the vents but mostly above the dashboard.

My dad owns an '86 and has done some restoration work and he says it is some vacuum hose that is not connected properly. Unfortunately he is out the country at the moment and can't get his help. Besides I prefer an ACTUAL mechanic's opinion and also inquire information as far as what it may or may not be. I also don't trust myself working on this car by myself. I'll be honest and admit that I am not the most mechanically inclined.

All in all, Im hoping im not breathing in toxic CO2 fumes from the engine bay. lol. No AC, hot air blowing in the car and South Florida heat dont mix well.
