on an 86 turbo, what is the volumn of fuel output during a given period of time?

How much pressure should be built up within a given period of time?

Upon turning the electrical system on, I can hear the fuel pump fireing up. she will not start however.

She will start when using starter fluid, but will die when the starter fluid is gone, and is backfiring alot.

I know that gasoline is going into the system, and is being returned as well.

Within about 3 seconds I was able to get about a cup of gas from her, but nothing when I turned her off and immediatly turned her back on.

I'm at a loss as to what the problem is, or what steps to take to figure it out at this point.

Anyone have any ideas?

If you have good fuel flow & it turns over w/ starter fluid, it sounds like your fuel injectors aren't spraying. Start checking your fuel injector connections & wiring.
