FPR temp sensor

just curious what would happen if the fuel temp sensor on the fuel pressure regulator was not hooked up. while changing my FPR found out that the single wire for the temp sensor was corroded and not hooked up. could that possibly be the reason why my motor acts like it is skipping from not enough fuel? thanks and let me know.

My car had a hard time starting the other day and then it just died on me when i was driving. right now i can get it to start due to the plugs not firing but my ecu test calls for fuel temp sensor check. So who no's that could be it.
