Engine Swap
I just recently acquired a 1985 300zx and will be doing alot of restoration with it, but I have no idea what I should do with the engine. Its a VG30E with over 170k miles, and I've thought about just completely overhauling it, but I'm pretty sure I'll want to do an engine swap. I'm looking for ideas or suggestions as to which engine I should go with for a decent amount of power (preferrably 6 cyl, NA...dont really know if I want turbo as I'm going more for show than power), for a hopefully easy swap. If anyone can help me on this?

If you don't mind it being down a while just rebuild the motor you have. Have someone who knows what they are doing do some head work. Do away with the stock exhaust and go back with Headers and performance exhaust. Put on a 240SX TB and a cool air intake. You can also put a cam in it if you want. Or just buy another motor out of a 84-86 300ZX and rebuild it so you can still drive your car. If you use a later model motor you will run into problems with acsessories as the crankshafts are different.
