Limited Slip Differential

Hi Guys,

Maybe one of you who is tech savvy might know the answer to this question. I was at the yard the other day and came across a 1994 Infinity J30. I checked its rear end, and it is a limited slip unit. The case for the differential looks similar to the Z31, but I think it bolts up differently. Is it possible to swap out some of the internal parts (LSD unit inside) with the internal parts in my rear end? Anyone with suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

was just on ebay looking for Z stuff and was lookin at a differintial from a 84 turbo. The guy gave this information...

"THE #S ON THE CASEING ARE AS FOLLOWS,,THE TOP OF THE CASE IS MARKED #38311-P9000 , THE LOWER HALF IS MARKED 157 83Z KN3, ALL IS STOCK NISSAN ZX AND UNTOUCHED , I BELIEVE THE GEARS ARE AROUND 3.55 ,, THE #S SHOULD TELL YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW"

i duno if that helps or not. You would need to find out what came on the J30's make sure its the right model and stuff...

Good luck.

Im pretty sure it is the same differential it might take alittle more work to swap but if I remember correctly the J30 had the R200.
