Is it a turbo or non? Both get pretty good mileage as far as a sports car goes, my NA got about 550km to a tank, and my turbo gets about 500km (before the empty light comes on)

(for miles, divide by about 1.6)

my '86 gets about 25 mpg but thats highway

 

All z31s have a 19 gallon gas tank. You should be getting at least 20mpg. I get about 28 on the freeway and 23 around town. City driving, I start looking for a gas station around 320 miles. Freeway, I'll wait until 420 or so before I consider pulling over.
