squeeling brakes
ok so i just bought hoov's 300zx and when i went to change the brake pads i found out that the rear passengers side rotor was dead and so were both rear calipers so i went and replaced it all but now when i go to brake the same dang brake squeels. im not sure what to do i purged both brakes after i replaced them and the fluid is to the top is there something im not doing right?

no, could be other reasons.... but this really will happen. you put the brakes back together correctly and with new pads yes? maybe it sat a while go out and drive it use the breaks alot (dont slam them though) and try to wear off any surface rust/deterioration thats built up on them from lack of use.

could. but better start with the simple first. but yeah its a sticky compound that goes ont he back of the pads so when the sit in the calipers they stick to the walls better and wont move around and squeal.

autozone will cary it or w/e place you get your parts at.
however idk if the Z31 has the anti squeal shims in it or not, if so, this prolly wont help you much

(checker/advanced auto/etc will typically do this for free for you if you buy the pads from them)
Did you do that or just install new pads?

Are we going to have to endure "bumper-to-bumper" tech sessions with the new owner until all the "little" quirks are fixed?
Are you getting finance charges on the note, as well?
Nice...

i would save the rotor and take it to car quest or somewhere where they surface the rotors and see if its at minimum thickness as i measured it with a caliper and it had a few more in it.
but you can only get RP in cali. at napa.
