not sure why the first 2 came out that small but if you save them and open them you can zoom in and probably see it better

your welcome, your z being an 87 (i assume from you sig) you have all that extra crap on the drivers wheel well. a friend of mine had an 86 and we removed that stuff as well and replaced his exhaust with an 84 exhaust so there wouldn't be a hole in the down pipe. but it ran fine. just be careful not to remove the lines going into the firewall also. they go to your climate control. without them you wont be able to chose between defrost, floor or face. air will just blow out of all vents

when i got my 85 the cruise didn't work either. the switch worked and the light in the cluster came on but it still wasn't working. i tried the vac lines and got nothing so i yanked it out, 3 days later i decided that since there are t-tops if i get hot i will just remove them and drive faster. thus the ac was removed. lol it works for me plus i noticed a slight gas mileage gain as well

yeah removing the ac takes a lot of strain off the engine therefore freeing up a few more horses and better fuel mileage. i didn't notice the hp gain as much because it is probably like 2-4 hp.
