smog
I want to disconnect my smog pump because I don't have to pass smog in a 240z. I have an L28 of course. Would I benefit from taking it off altogether or would it be sufficient to just disconnect the belt. Would I hurt anything by disconnecting it? Anyone know what kind of HP gain I am looking at? Thanks for the help.

The bennefit of removing the smog pump completly is a more clean engine compartment and some weight savings. Just removing the best alone frees up about 1-2hp and 1-2 lbs of torque. Those don't draw as much resistance as the A/C compressor.
