Replacing ball joints

I replaced the front struts late last year and saw the ball joints were on the way out and I am thinking about replacing them. I have never done ball joints before and have a few questions. I was told that certain ball joints will need to be pressed into place by a special tool on some cars, does this include the z? Are there any other problems I can run into?

Thanks

it is easier if you have a press but you can hammer them in carefully. or take them to a auto machine shop they usually do it fairly cheaply. while you are at it replace your outer tie rod ends and redo the bushings in poly. you will find a marked difference in the handling. replacing struts without doing that is like putting lipstick on the proverbial pig. back off the tension rod nuts before you jack the car up and tighten them after it is back on the ground. follow directions in the fsm and you will have no problem.
