installing ball joints
I have to replace the ball joints on my '82 280ZX Turbo. Since I don't do this all the time, I have a couple of questions. Is there any thing I should be looking for to determine if there are any other problems; tie rod ends, bent sway rod arm etc? I have changed all the bushings, shocks but I have not changed the springs, because the only one's I could find were the lowering springs and I read that they may cause a problem.
I bought Mevoteck ball joints. Any info will help. Thanks

Ball joints aren't too hard to replace... time consuming, but not hard. They just bolt right in (which is A LOT easier than pressing them in like today's cars).
Also, if you haven't hit anything and the car drives straight... there shouldn't be anything damaged or bent.

Thanks for the reply. It's been a while since I've been under the car so I'm a little rusty. I thought it should be pretty simple. I receintly had my Dodge Ram done and it cost me about $800 bucks, so it made hesitate before I started this.

5 bolts and they almost fall out. to check tie rod ends, move them around and see if they are loose, leave the car on the ground, and get someone to turn the wheels slightly right and left, youll be able to see the movement in them.
