Quick AC question: What PSI do I want to have?

I got my R12A refrigerant, hooked it up and presto got some nice cold air coming out.
What is the PSI I want to have when the engine is revved? I saw on the label they want no greater than 26PSI.
Is this correct or should I follow the blue area in the gauge I have?

Depends on the temp. But usually r12 200 high, 40 low @ idle , use the sight glass , watch the bubbles shrink... you want to stay above 20-25 psi
why not convert to 134a ?
