Need to know what what color wire is behind the main AC compressor wire?
Have an 86 z31 and I think a rat got a hold of my power wire to the AC compressor. The wire coming from the compressor is good all the way to the plug (mine happens to be black ) but where it plugs in, on the other side of that, I see a wire that has nothing on it it looks yellow with a green stripe and possibly one Redband can someone confirm if this is the right wire to connect to. I tested it for voltage and it only gave me a .03 V rating. So I'm thinking either maybe wrong wire or I may have another problem Also. Thanks
Problem solved, I had access to the factory service manual, but I couldn't find AC compressor and what section it was listed under, I was looking in EL for electrical, turns out it was HA (Heating and air, duh ), and it's not called AC compressor it's called magnet clutch. But I was correct, my main question was, if it was a Y/G wire and it shows that it is on the diagram. So Admins, can marked this on as solved. I just needed a lay person's interpretation of the FSM and chapter abbreviations and help finding what AC compressor was called, luckily I was able to reason and figure it out on my own.
