Just introducing myself
Hello everyone,
I have been frequenting many Z sites since I bought my 1987 300ZXT GL about 2 years ago but never really joined one because I was too busy gawking at everybodie's cars and knowledge. Its about time I joined one, and this site looked like it is full of helpful people that share my passion for the Z.
I fell in love with my 87 turbo the moment i shelled out the 2k for it and started her up. She was in great shape other than the hideous hunting vest orange with fat gold flake paint job that my buddy I bought it from performed (trust me, my wife was dismayed and wont really ride in it )and one tear in the leather on the driver side seat. Cant beat 74k miles on an 87 and i'm only the third owner of this car!
December first i had a tragedy and slid in an ice storm and smashed my rear left tire into a curb bending the rear control arm, axle rod, and who knows what else . I havent had a chance to take it apart yet but it seems I have a line on the parts, thank God. Now i just need the money .
Before the wreck I had a wish list in mind for mods including a custom body kit and paint job (as close to tungsten as I can get), new leather and carpet, stereo system, Maxima alternator, electric fan, new stainless exhaust, ECU, don't laugh but Lambo doors would look sweet if someone makes the hinge to fit, and a host of other things to make it my own (not to the extent of Johnzboy though, OMG what a machine!). I am still in limbo on ripping out the A/C and eliminating the compressor since i rarely use the A/C anyways. That is what T-tops are for. I'm also undecided on the intercooler. Faster would be cool, but really I just wanna cruise in a Z that I made my own. Now, all of that is on hold untill I can get my baby road worthy once again .
Trust me, I will and have been searching this and other sites before I start a volley of questions, but I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.
Thanks to all who read through my five paragraphs of rambling and happy Z'ing to you all!

Welcome!
I had the same experience in my BMW 318ti... whacked the freeway wall in a snowstorm. I actually drove it for a while with a bent control arm, until my tire was down to the metal... then I fixed it.
