Just introducing my self.

Hey guys hows it going ??? Just wanted to drop in and say Hi. I've owned my 350Z since 2003 and it was the 1st one in Vegas (well as far as I know of). I use to own and run Club350.com & ClubG35.com before they both got messed up due to a crapy hosting company. I just was wondering how many of you guys actually meet up and when you guys have meets? as I'm looking for some people to go to the track with.

Welcome.... We have meets when someone sets one up. We had a lot more before but lately its been kind of simmering down. A few of us do the track events like Midnight Mayhem and other various Autocross and Track days that come up. Events are always posted and interest always seems high until the day of the event, but hoefully we'll all get back into the swing of the club.

Welcome Kris. We're glad you found us. Maybe your past experience with Club350.com will help us grow into a more vibrant club. We have had a few meeting in the past. Most often we will piggy-back events with some other club. The next track event is a joint SCCA / PCA Drivers Ed at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Park in Pahrump on Sept. 3rd & 4th.

Welcome Kris! We don't really have a structured way of doing things here so if you want to oganize a meet or event then feel free to. What color, model, mods, etc. have you done to your Z? What type of motorsports are you into?

Thanks guys for the nice welcome. I like drag racing but want to get into road corses and some scca stuff but have never done any of it. So if any of you can point me in the right direction for getting started that would be awsome.

Currently I have a 2003 Redline Touring Model with XERD Headers and a set of Racing Hart CR (19x9.5 F and 19x10.5R) I purchased a set of the Eibach coils but never got around to putting them on, and recently decided to order a set of TEIN flex w/ EDFC insted. I also am ordering the Cusco upper A-Arms and sway bars front & rear.

Future plans are Top Sec Body Kit, Top Sec Mirrors, Amuse Rear Wing, Vortec SC, Greddy Evo Dual Exhaust, Switch out the XERD headers for a set of NISMO headers, 2 Sparco Seats with 4 point harnesses, and have some type of custom harness bar made.

Are you guys associated with sincityz.org ???? at all ..... the funny thing is I purchased the domain name sincityz.com thinking that would be a cool name for a Z club here and just found out today that there is already a club here in vegas by that name. If you not associated with it would you guys want to start an offical club with membership and such? I could also use the club350.com domain name as I still own it, and I also have a extra copy of vbulltin laying around.

Let me know your thoughts

All you need is a helmet and money (usually $140 - $200 per day).

As for the website stuff, we already have a skeleton of a website over at www.nv350z.com. Our only problem is updating and finishing it lol.

What does your car run in the 1/4? I personally prefer track days (road courses). I almost have my Z up and running so I think we should plan another meet so we can see you and your Z in person.

As for the harness bar, there have been many heated debates on harness bar vs. roll bar. I personally would go for the roll bar especially if you are going to be doing track days.

There is a Thursday night street war coming up isn't there? That would be a good chance to meet up. You gotta come out Mike, I need to see how much faster you are than me with all of the mods.

Helmet & $$$ .... I think I can swing that. Do they has like a basic class for Beg.?

As for the nv350z.com site I can redo it if you guys want me to. I'll build it with VBulletin so it will be real easy to update and post meeting and such. The last site I built I used Vbulletin: www.infinitiowners.org

1/4 times ... dont know. I have never ran it, I wouldnt mine running it thou. I'm down to meet up with you guys if you want to do a track day. Also if you want to set up weekly meets I'm down for that too. I know a bunch of the EVO & STI guys meet up at the In N Out on Sahara starting @ 7pm on Thursday nights, so that could be a good meeting place just because there are a lot of other cars there too.

Dose anyone make a bolt in roll bar for the 350Z ? I just dont want to do a full cage.

I have these pics I got from the a vid that had a Strosek 350Z in it. I wish I knew who made this set up as it looks sweet. (sorry for the crapy quality of pics I had to screen cap them).

EDIT: nevermind I cant get them t owork for some reason ...

Most track days have Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes. Usually the beginner classes also offer some sort of instruction also. We would love for you to do a website for us. Just tell us what info you need. Kirk Racing makes a good 4-point bolt in roll bar for the Z. I am in the process of installing mine right now. www.KirkRacing.com.

Ty:
TNSW is this Thurs. the 14th. I don't know if I am going to be able to go for a couple of reasons. First I have to pick up my girlfriend sometime that night. Second I don't know if I will have my Z put back together and running by then. I have the seats and the center console torn out to do the roll bar right now and I still haven't gotten it in. I am also still waiting on some parts from Nissan to fix my tensioner pulleys. If I get the roll bar in tonight then I am pretty sure I can have it ready for TNSW. Even if the parts don't come in from Nissan I think it will run fine, but I won't have AC.

I haven't seen any better pics of the Kirk, but I have seen one in person and it looks good in my opinion. The other one looks cool too but in no way would I trust an aluminum roll bar. I think thats just for show. The Kirk does limit passenger seat travel by a couple of inches, but thats it.

Dont you have the Kirk Roll bar .... I think I saw a post on my350z.com from you saying your getting it?

That other one I think is just silver powder coating ... not alum.

Yes I have the Kirk, but I have not finished installing it yet.

That bar is aluminum. You can tell by the welds. They are much fatter than steel or chromoly.

The Kirk is a bolt in. I tried to test fit mine last night before I did the final paint on it and it looks like I am going to have to hammer on some of the interior to flatten it out, but other than that it looks pretty simple.

I am a member. I go to some of their event. The next meeting is tomorrow, Wed July 13th at 6:30 PM. They meet at Desert Nissan on Sahara. I will be there.

Mike gave you good info on the SCCA / PCA track days. A SA certified helmet (2000 or 2005), the entry fee and a car that will pass tech, are all that you need to come out to play. Here is a link to some official information on the next event in September. http://vista.pca.org/lvs/2%20day%20d...%20Pahrump.rtf I have a National Competition License with both groups and I am also a Certified Instructor. Please let me know what I can do to help and encourage you.

This may be a real stupid question but is there anything that is needed to pass a tech inspection? or is it the same as a tech inspection like when you go drag racing ?

Every organization is different. Some organizations have a "self tech" where you tech your car yourself. Most just look to make sure that your lugs are properly torqued, your battery is tied down, your battery cables are secure, there are no loose items inside your car, etc... Nothing that a 350Z should not pass.
