I use KYB's on both my turbo cars. They aren't track worthy but more than adequate for street and occasional country road driving and not expensive.

Where did you purchase yours from? I am a mechanical noob, so I am not even sure what part to buy to fix half my issues, I know I need a new transmission but not sure if there is something I can purchase to just rebuilt my auto, and the alternator and heater core seems pretty straightforward..

Most comptent auto parts stores can order them for you. Or order them online. Google is your friend.

Did either of your Z31T's have the adjustable suspension? That's FDC's main question... If the KYB's will work with the adjustable suspension.

I imagine the KYB's feel better than the stock "stiff ride".... I had a late 80's Maxima w/ adjustable suspension & always left it on firm... the "soft" felt like the car was going to bounce over on it's side.

What he said ^^^^

I need to find a new set of front shocks or struts or whatever those are that will replace the stock adjustable stuff...

All 84 to 89 turbo cars had the adjustable suspension. The rear shock are a direct fit and KYB has a kit to fit the front strut housing for OEM adj. Some think they are to soft for them but I think they are way better that the cheap monroe's. The stock adj. suspension in one of my cars was blown out when I got it so I don't know know it felt. The other car already had KYB's on it when I bought it.

The only other way is to bite the bullet and buy 5 way adjustable Illumina's, Koni's, or Bilstien's.

I've shipped two dashes in the last 6 months. Shipping cost were from $92 to $137 just for shipping. That doesn't count the packaging cost.
