You can get those new from Nissan. My exoerience with using those old ones ( I have a cargo cover in my 2+2) is they break easy.

Oh yeah? They're still available? Cool! I'll add that to my nismoparts.com restore list.

The cargo cover, as it's known, was a part of the leather seat package. Althought most of the covers in our cars are missing by now, the clips will still be there. The clips behind the speaker cove are the most prone to failure. All of the junk yard cars I've found had broken one's. Buy them new if you don't want them to break the first time you snap the shade/cover into them. The clips for the tray seem to last muct longer. Those are the one's on the side of the speaker cover. Even new they still break easy. be careful when installing and removing the cover/shade piece.

I really would like to find a new cargo cover. Some idiot previous owner set something heavy on this one (or sat on it or something) and bent it a bit. It still works, but I'd like to have a new one. For now, perhaps my clip solution is better. I fashioned some L shaped metal pieces that hold the bar in place. I'm going to disassemble this thing and see if I can pound out the dent in the bottom of the metal piece. That tends to drag on the roller a bit and causes it to stick sometimes. It's pretty damn hard to find these covers, isn't it? I think it's a necessity for a full restoration, though. Especially if you haven't replaced that amazingly shrinking and fading carpet yet. Perhaps it wouldn't have shrunk and faded if the damn cover had been left in place most of the time.

The covers are hard to find. especially the black ones. I look for them on ebay, buy them as cheap as I can, then resell them.

lol funny part since i graduated in collision repair i know what all needs to be done and a good estimate on what its going to be. of course my insurance has to wait till monday to come look at it. im sure its total. the blue book value of the eclipse was 5500. my drivers door rear quarter panel was slammed. so new door maybe the rear panel can be salvaged but paint will need to be applied to blend front fender door jam the door paint rocker panel and paint quarter panel while blending on it. as well as my rear tire was sunk in camber issue lol. my front alignment got fudged. im looking at getting maybe a titan truck just finding one that does not have over 100k miles is rough..but yes it sucks when you loose a car. of course i get hit by a 58 year old man that has no insurance, invalid drivers license and is driving a dead mans vehicle. Of course he does a hit and run so i had to chase him down in my busted eclipse to get his license plate and description. 2nd hit and run on that car >_<

You mean the cargo covers? I wonder why they're so hard to find? I mean, if nobody has them on their cars, you would think there would be plenty of extras floating around. They seem pretty durable and everything. If they start to come apart on the edges, they're easy to repair. Let me know if you come across any, even in rough shape. I might be able to swap some parts and use everything good from mine. I think this is more important for a restoration that the freaking wheel chocks. LOL

z31turbo parts

Hi:

Is the tranny is the fs5r30a?
I live in San Juan-Puerto Rico, are you able to S&H the tranny to Puerto Rico?
How much for the 5spd transmission and the S&H?
Thanks,
Kev

Might be a noob question but whata bout the heater core and alternator off of it? would it fit in an 85 turbo? Or are you keeping those? also how much for the front shocks if those would fit the 85 turbo...
