well its starting to get cold here. dropped bellow freezing last night... And my heater doesn't work. I have a 87 turbo. my blowers work just my controls don't work it lights up but nothing works.. I have a analog thing that i can swap in but HAVE NO IDEA how to swap to it. @_@ could really use help. I work nights so on my way to work and on my way home its cold and not having a heater sucks.. thanks for what ever help i get. The manual defrost thing works but it doesn't blow hot.... Not sure if thats normal or not. or maybe the heater core is bad?? again thanks for any help.

 

If it doesn't blow HOT air, the first thing to do is check your coolant level. The vent slider control uses vacuum to open the various ports, so if it's only blowing through defrost no matter the slider setting, then you need to find the vacuum leak.
