How about bodywork?
Hi. =]
I've been reading the z31 forums for about a month now, and since I finally bought my car (1985 N/A), I decided it was time to actually register and post.
Mechanically, my car is sound, with the exception of the sensor light lit up in the dash. The person I bought it from (a friend) said that it was an ECU bug, and it lights up after 90k miles. He told me he read it in a forum, prolly zdriver. Any truth to that statement?
The exterior, also, needs a bit of work. Can anybody recommend an honest body shop in the Long Island/NY area? My quarter panels are starting to rot just behind the wheels, I have a few small dings, and it's definitely going to need a paint job.

That is a sensor light that I believe after 90k you're suppose to disconnect. It's under the dash (driver side). I forgot the color, but mine had a sticker on it tellin me to disconnect it after 90k. You can probably find info on it on z31.com.

There should be a light on your dash that reads "SENSOR". It was set to come on at 30k miles, 60k miles, and 90k miles to let you know to check/replace the oxygen sensor.
It is just below the very left dash vent. It should be clearly labeled. Take the lower dash panel off to see it.
