H/A blower want shut off
I recently bought a Z Car it’s an 85 model. It has a few things that need fixing and I’ve started with two The first is the radio was missing I have that pretty much in hand now after figuring out the wireing the previous owner had removed an after market radio
My next problem is a bit harder when I bought the car the heat & air blower didn’t work I changed the fuse and it now works but only on high speed I figured it was the switch and since I had the radio out it was no problem to pull the whole switch and assembly out I then unplugged everything and the blower is still running on high
Can someone tell me what the problem is and how to fix it I’d appreciate any help I can get

if yours is a digital model, then this may be it. there's a little recessed button at the very top of the unit for running the defrost in manual mode (this runs it on high at the hottest temp). try pushing the button again and see what that does.
if your's isn't digital then I don't know what could be the problem.

Thanks for the reply I hope to get to work on the Z Tuesday the first I drive a truck and with the holidays it’s been tough to get anything done lately
I hate to say it but I probably have the analog dash if the digital means digital readout gauges such as a graphic speedometer Mine is a left to right swing needle
Oh well maybe I can figure something out Tuesday

My air conditioner and heater both are broken, they used to work, but now my air conditioner blows hot, and my heater/ac mainly blow out of the defrost/defog vents.

Thanks for the info I just got back in town and hope to work on the Z towards the end of the week I took a quick look last weekend but we’ve had some cold and snow here in North Carolina and I don’t have a garage to work in So call me a wimp but it’s supposed to warm up over the next couple days
I’ll check the vacuum lines first that sound’s like a good place to start
