dash instrumentation
I have a 86 turbo with digital dash that got wet from the result of a window being down and it rained. Now the dash does not work. I would like anyone out there that could give advice please give it. I'm going crazy trying to find the problem. Thanks for any help you could give.

Re: dash instrumentation
try cleaning all the connectors on the right and left sides of the dashboard, make sure they are all dry. if it still doesnt work, try making sure the ones going to the power supply are clean and dry. if u STILL have no luck, then you might have to pull the dash to verify the wires are all good, and/or the instrument cluster to chek that too. you did check all the fuses didnt you??
good luck....
good luck....

Re: dash instrumentation
Which indicator lights? All of them? Like as if you just turned the key to the on position, but didn't start it? This indicates a failing alternator/voltage regulator. It might be something as simple as adjusting the fan belt or as bad as replacing the alternator.
The headlight problem is because the headlight switch is having problems. You may be able to clean the contacts and that's all. Lots of people find themselves just buying a new one.
...and from the ashes shall rise a new hope. And it shall be known as "Z". And it will be good.
