Exclamation Clutch from hell

Hey everybody, just joined up today after buying my first 300ZX, which is also my first Nissan. My issue is concerning the clutch. I bought the car with a bad clutch. No big deal, right? The car still moved and went down the road, but when the turbo spooled, it would slip like crazy. So I proceeded to drop the trans and put in a clutch I bought from Advance Auto P/N: MU47732-1A. I don't need anything too much, seeing as how this is my daily driver. I got it together the first time and my pedal would only go half way down and stop. I tore the trans back out to see the problem. The new throw out bearing was 1/4" shorter than my old one. The only reason for replacing the bearing was because the old one was dry. I ended up re-packing the old one and put it in. It made a little difference but the pedal would only stop a little after where it did before. Well, my buddy ended up pushing back on the slave as I pushed the pedal, and now the system seems to need bleeding? I tried bleeding it, and it's not really working. But still I wonder, if I get the system bled, will it fix the problem? I think not, and I'm wondering now if I even have the proper pressure plate.. Any help is appreciated!!

Well, I have it back together and it's not working properly. Not quite sure where to turn now.

Replace both the master and slave with new units and do the damper bypass:

Well, I ended up pulling it all back apart. The problem was all in the clutch fork pivot ball. somebody replaced it with a shot one and it needed to have the longer style one. Seeing as how it costed about $50 for a new one, I chucked up a bolt on the lathe and made a longer one. Problem solved!

A new pivot ball is $5. What the hell do you mean $50?
