There are no Nissan OEM bike racks designed for a z31.

Check Yakima and Thule, two aftermarket manufacturers of car bike racks. Forget about a roof rack if your car has a T-bar roof. No manufacturer wants to be responsible for breaking a T-top. The other two bike rack styles are a trunk/hatch mounted rack and a hitch post. Trunk/hatch mounted racks, with their rubber feet, can mar the paint even though they’re not supposed to. It happened to my brother's Mercury Tracer. It’s because of the car’s vibration. Hitch post styles: I think they have to be welded to the car’s frame.

If it’s just one bike that you need to carry, it should fit into the hatch if your bike has quick release front and rear hubs. This is what I do. I have a mountain bike.

Another alternative is to buy a folding bike. Then it will fit into the hatch area easily enough. There are many folding bike manufacturers. Most of them have small 16” or 20” wheels but not all of them. Some folders have 24” wheels.

I used to have a 2+2 and could fit ALL sorts of stuff in it. Now that I have just the 2 seater I hope I can find a bike that fits. Thx for the input.
