Well, college cycling is under way, and there is a Cirterium I will be racing in on the OPUS campus in Minnetonka, MN. This Will be my 2nd career collegiate cycling race, so wish me luck!

My legs are gonna hurt....

 

I'm jealous! It's snowing again here, so it's indoor trainer ride for me tonight. Keep the rubber side down! Hope you've got some good teammates to give you a leadout at the end!

Got awesome team mates, I'll get a couple Primes for the forum. Race isn't until Sunday at around 830 am.

 

i used to bike alot, not like youguys though, i had a Hoffman Condor for my 8th grad graduation (this was in my skating years) i could ride a wheelie down the entire street, and i jump stair cases i think the highest i did was like a 7 set. but i kept getting gauged in my shins, the pedals had teh little metal spikes in them to help grip your shoes, but one foot would slip off sometimes on the compression of landing and the other foot would stay on teh pedal so the metal would fly upwards into your shin as your foot that fell off and now had a spike or 2 or 3 in it would slide down at the ground, made for some deep flesh wounds. then i went back to skating, then i got a Z32. lol. im starting skating again though, i need the exercise plus it is fun.

 

Yeah, my bike had those aluminum spiked pedals. I used to ride my GT all the time. I took off the brakes, and it has Maxxis Hookworm tires. I still have it, but I rarely ride it... espically when the weather sucks (all the time in OK)

 

I got a 2007 Trek AA1000 In the Flare duotone colors...

I added:
Keo Classic Clipless pedals,
Vuelta Starlite AL wheelset with Michelen Pro tires,
Sella Italia saddle with yellow accents.
And I re-wrapped the handlebars with matching grip tape..

reminds me of the summer i spent working at Hardee's when I was 14 so i could buy my Haro Racing 1c bicycle. lol

of course, the next school year it was stolen.
ah the memories.

BTW, there is another bike race this weekend in Lincoln, Nebraska.
